US Ambassador visited our university and discussed with students
US Ambassador in the Czech Republic Andrew H. Schapiro has fulfilled his promise given earlier this year and arrived to meet students of the University of Hradec Králové (UHK).
US Ambassador A. H. Schapiro visited our university on Wednesday, 2 December, following an invitation from the rector Josef Hynek. Up front of a crowded auditorium of the Faculty of Informatics and Management he briefly summarized his fourteen month tenure in office and talked about current topics in the field of Czech-US relations and global diplomacy of the United States.
After end of the meetings the ambassador had a short tour around the continually developed university campus Na Soutoku (At the Confluence) and at a joint lunch with the rector and deans of the university, he discussed a possibility of extending the existing cooperation between the University of Hradec Králové and academic and scientific institutions based in the United States.
