Meeting with Cambodian writer Thavry Thon, FIM graduate

In 2009 Thavry received a scholarship at the Faculty of Informatics and Management of the University of Hradec Králové. She completed her bachelor's degree in Information Management.
After studies Thavry has been traveling a lot and started to write books. In her books she mostly fights for women's equality and believes in the power of women and tries to motivate them in various ways to go the right way and not give up on their dreams.
In January 2017 she published her autobiographical book "Proper Woman", a true story of a young Cambodian woman questioning the social and cultural standards that still exist in her country. The book "Proper Woman" was translated into Khmer language and in October 2019 it was translated into Czech as "Dcery Kambodže".
She is now a co-founder of Seavphovjivet publishing house based in Cambodia. She is also a motivational speaker and an author.
