The immortal Remoska has dazzled people for over 60 years
Do you remember the good old remoska pan, which was just as fun and convenient to use at home, as it was at your summer cottage? Easy to pack, easy to transport, easy to cook with. Thanks to a recent cooperation between two institutions, cooking will soon be even easier and more fun.
Through its Faculty of Informatics and Management (FIM UHK), the University of Hradec Králové is partaking in a project aimed at innovating the venerable Remoska pan. The project, which is scheduled for completion in November 2022, will utilise artificial intelligence to accomplish the goal of improving the already unrivalled product. A few years ago, Remoska changed its design and improved its energy efficiency. In addition to a traditional pan, the brand now also offers other kitchen utilities that have gained many awards at both national and international trade fairs.
"We are pleased to have managed to reach the current stage of progress in our joint project with Remoska, a traditional Czech company. Our Faculty can utilise its know-how in the combined fields of IT, economics and management. We believe that a bright future awaits Remoska’s products,” commented Ondřej Krejcar, the former Vice-Dean emeritus for Science and Research of FIM UHK and a member of the research team for the project, who currently acts as the Vice-Rector of the University of Hradec Králové for Science and Creative Activities.
REMOSKA s.r.o. is a Czech limited liability company, which was established in 1957. Throughout its existence, it has focused on the development and manufacture of kitchen cooking equipment, especially on its renowned, easy-to-transport electric baking pan with a heating coil installed in the lid. The product has been steadily developed ever since. For the 21st century, the company wants to bring to the market a new improved version that will incorporate some of the elements and features of the internet of things (IoT).
And so, notwithstanding the fact that the manufacture of this product was almost discontinued for some time after the invention of the microwave oven and other similar domestic appliances, the Remoska still has a future. It is currently used on a daily basis in more than 5 million households all over the world. We hope that the upcoming innovations will be welcome by its loyal customers and that a new wave of Remoskamania, such as we witnessed in 2001 in the United Kingdom, is just around the corner.
