Board of Trustees
The Board of Trustees is a self-governing body of a public higher education institution. Its mission and competences are determined by the Higher Education Act. After discussion with the Rector, the members of the Board of Trustees of the public higher education institution are appointed and dismissed by the Minister so that the representatives of public life, local government and state administration are adequately represented. The Board of Trustees' administration mainly involves discussing the legal acts of the higher education institution stipulated by law, evaluating the results of the university activities and key strategic documents. The Board of Trustees of a public higher education institution shall initiate and express opinions on the activities of the public higher education institution, which are published by it.
