Visit of the Korean professor Yi Ki Ho at the Faculty of Education
During EduDays 2019 international week, held in the Faculty of Education, we have had a honour to host prof. Yi Ki Ho, associate professor of the Hanshin University, South Korea, head of Centre for Peace and Public Intergity.
He was invited within the Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility Programme.
He spent his one-week stay at the Faculty of Education within the period from 24th March till 30th March 2019.
He delivered interesting lectures and workshops in the field of cultural, religious and political issues (as out of area of his professional interest).
The most succesful was his lecture and discussion on the topic: Current political issues in North-east Asia and peace process between North and South Korea, held with the cooperation of the Department of Cultural and Religious Studies.
The interest of audience was enormous.
Prof. Yi Ki Ho also spent a time with Korean students, of his university, who have been staying at our faculty as exchange students.
He joined a panel discussion on topics of migration, discussed different topics with Czech and foreign academic staff members and students.
He introduced his department and home university to the audience of students interested in studying in Korea.
He discussed further tools of mutual cooperation between our university with the representatives of the International office of the Faculty of Education, especially new possibilities focused on projects, short-term internships and summer schools.
Moreover, he participated in the lectures of other foreign guests of the Edudays 2019, as well he took part in the excursion to Chrudim, where he visited the Museum of Puppet cutures and Museum of Baroque statues there.
His stay was beneficial for both universities, and we look forward to other pleasent meetings with our partner insitution guests in future.
