The Faculty of Education has welcome dr. Mintert, from the US partner university, within the programme Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility

Dr. Amber L. Mintert, from Missouri Southern State University, our partner institution in the USA, was a guest speaker at EduDays 2025. The American lecturer, who comes from the College of Arts and Sciences, the Art and Design Department and whose area of expertise is Art Education and Art for Elementary School Teachers, was based in the Department of Art, Visual Culture and Textile Studies, Faculty of Education. Her stay was realised within the Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility Project.
As part of her rich programme, she offered interesting lectures and workshops on Diversity in Art Education, Native American Cultures, Art Education and its Methodology. She stayed at Habrmanova Elementary School of Art, where she participated in the art education classes for 2 days. She met with teachers and students not only from the Department of Art, Visual Culture and Textile Studies, but also from other departments. They discussed the current state of art and its teaching in the education system of both countries, the possibilities of expanding mutual cooperation, the possibility of further visits and mobilities between the two departments. During the gala evening, Dr. Mintert met other foreign guests of the Faculty of Education and attended a gala concert. She visited the Gallery of Modern Art in Hradec Králové and the Gočár Gallery in Pardubice, where she met with gallery educators and participated in gallery education. She used her free time to visit the sights of Hradec Králové (e.g. the White Tower), Pardubice, but also our region, e.g. the sculpture park in Hořice v Podkrkonoší. Her guide throughout her stay was PhDr. Kateřina Štěpánková, Ph.D., whom I would like to thank for her time and care she gave to Dr. Mintert.

We consider Dr. Mintert's stay a pleasant and beneficial enrichment of the academic life at the Faculty of Education and we look forward to further similar meetings.
