Workshop for Ph.D. students: Giving a presentation and taking part in a discussion in English

We invite Ph.D. students of PdF UHK to a series of workshops that will be organized for all doctoral students of UHK as part of the project Igracek UHK. The goal is to increase the language competence of doctoral students in a course tailored to their needs. Participation is open to all students or academicians as mentors FREE of charge.
The participant must be 1st-3rd-year Ph.D. student of the University of Hradec Králové or mentor (academician, researcher at UHK).
Term: 4 sessions on Thursday 3, 10, 24 November, 1 December, 2022 from 13:00 – 16:00

Programme: How to give presentations and take part in a discussion in English
- How to introduce yourself
- How to structure a presentation
- How to give a description of a thesis
- How to read graphs
- How to ask and answer questions and moderate a discussion
- How to express opinions and oppose arguments
- How to read a body language and gestures
- How to reach compromises
