Offer of professional development activity for academics, lecturers and PhD students at the UHK - PLC II

UHK participates in the implementation of the Erasmus+ KA2 project "Supporting Academics to Become International Educators through Professional Learning Communities". This project focuses on the development of the internationalization of universities with the aim of improving the quality of international teaching. In particular, it seeks to develop the teaching competencies of academic staff.
The project works with an innovative format of professional development activity, the so-called Professional Learning Communities (PLC). The PLC concept is based on the fact that it uses multidisciplinary and intercultural collaboration, meeting, and sharing of involved professionals from different levels (e.g. academics, PhD students).
A pilot course has already been successfully implemented at the UHK in the academic year 2022/23 in collaboration with the University of Jaén (Spain). Academics and PhD students from different departments across the UHK participated in the course and developed topics such as Student-Centered Methodologies, English as a Medium of Instruction, Intercultural Aspects, etc. together with colleagues from the University of Jaén.
Now we plan to continue, in the PLC II course we will further develop popular topics while working with new themes. We invite all academics and PhD students interested to join this exciting project. You can develop your teaching skills, gain new inspiration and suggestions for your teaching, or "just" share good practice with your colleagues at the University of Jaén.
The PLC II course will be delivered in the form of 4 online sessions in January-February 2024. In early December 2023, we plan to organize a face-to-face session with all participants from the UHK on campus.
