Workshop Academic Career Planning
The aim of the workshop is to familiarize early-career researchers with the formal and informal requirements associated with the start of an academic career in order to clarify what and why to pay attention to.
The workshop combines interactive and lecture blocks. It consists of 3 main parts. The first part is dedicated to the formal and informal requirements related to the academic career. The goal here is to clarify the main aspects of the evaluation of researchers that need to be strategically reflected from the beginning of the academic career. In this part, the systems of academic performance assessment will be introduced.
The second part consists of the moderated discussion with the rector and vice-rector on the habilitation criteria and requirements related to the performance and development of an academic career at UHK.
The third part of the workshop focuses on strategic career planning in the context of the current setting of the academic environment. The participants will solve model dilemmas associated with the start of the academic career - what, when, and how to do it.
