Cloud Service Calculator

The goal of this project and research is to analyze the economic evaluation of cloud computing investment efficiency. This project was created as an outcome of the TACR GAMA project - Application for the economic evaluation of IT infrastructure migration into the cloud carried out at the Faculty of Informatics and Management, University of Hradec Kralove.

The aim of our research work is not only to increase the awareness of potential cloud users about its possibilities and eventual risks but predominantly to calculate the cost efficiency of migration to cloud computing infrastructure - IaaS. Despite its simplicity, the calculator is able to evaluate the majority of important economic investment criteria necessary for suitability assessment. The calculated markers include commentaries that contain additional information concerning the suitability of the utilization of the given technology in relation to particular input parameters.

Our team has been involved in many projects, including those funded by the government. We have also cooperated with the commercial sector in the area of cloud computing, security, or communication technologies and their utilization.
