The study program provides a master's degree in ECEC education with a focus on children with special needs problematics and on the management of ECEC facilities.

Previous Education/Experience

The requirement for admission to this program is a completed bachelor's degree program in Teacher Training for Kindergartens, Early Childhood Education or the equivalent of similar pedagogical undergraduate program with a focus on the education of pre-school children authorising the applicant to work as a teacher in kindergarten.

Career Opportunities

The graduate will be equipped with pedagogical, psychological, diagnostic, social, communicative, interventional, subject matter content, methodological, managerial and personal cultivating competencies that prepare him/her for the performance of a professionally profiled preschool teacher, a specialist in children‘ special needs, a preschool manager, an inspector, a methodological advisor, an educator for activities in the field of state administration, or a researcher in the field of ECEC education.

Admission Requirements

Entry requirements:

- a completed application form

- a duly verified copy of an applicant´s Bachelor´s degree diploma in English *

- a transcript/supplement proving the content and the scope of an applicant´s previous Bachelor´s degree studies *

- a confirmation of the language competence to study in English (minimum B2 level) **

- a signed affidavit of the applicant´s ability to cover expenses related to studies and living in the Czech Republic

- a motivation letter showing an applicant´s previous study results, his/her study objectives, expectations, practical experience and other professional skills. (at least 3600 letters)

- a copy of an applicant´s passport

 

* the authenticity of these documents has to be verified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the foreign country and by the Czech embassy (or obtained with apostille). The documents are object to comparison to the Czech educational system. 

 

** applicants who graduated from English study programme are not obligated to demonstrate it; as well as applicants whose mother tongue is English.
