Program Description
Students gain the ability to analyse various cultural phenomena, and to understand them in a broader historical
and social context. Students are able to understand culture; understand a humankind and consciousness of
common human reciprocity.

Graduate are qualified to work in public institutions such as state or local authorities, as well as in non-profit organizations, charities, mass media, and cultural or educational facilities.
Admission Requirements
Entry requirements:
- a completed application form
- a duly certified copy of an applicant´s Secondary school leaving certificate in English *
- a document proving the content and the scope of an applicant´s previous Secondary school education/studies *
- a document proving that a school where previous studies were obtained is recognised as a part of the educational system in a foreign country *
- a confirmation of the language competence to study in English (at least B2 level)
- a signed affidativ of an applicant´s ability to cover expenses related to studies and living in the Czech Republic
- a study-related/application letter (at least 3600 letters) including the following
- 1. Brief presentation of main factors that motivate an applicant to study Transcultural Communication
- 2. Brief presentation of basis premises of cultural and social anthropology as understood based on an applicant´s previous studies
- 3. Presentation of one book of academic or scientific literature an applicant has recently read
- a copy of an applicant´s passport
* the authenticity of these documents has to be verified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the foreign country and by the Czech embassy (or obtained with apostille). The documents are object to comparison to the Czech educational system.
