Chemistry Olympiad
Department of Chemistry hosted the district and regional round 51st year of Chemistry Olympiad in category D during March.
Selected pupils of elementary schools and grammar schools from the district Hradec Králové visited the Department of Chemistry of the Faculty of Science at the beginning of March. These pupils measured their capabilities in theoretical and practical part of the district round of the Chemistry Olympiad. These contestants take the first three places in this round: František Dostál of the Gymnázium Boženy Němcové (1st place), Kateřina Pražáková of the První soukromé jazykové gymnázium (2nd place) and Vadim Kablukov of the Gymnázium Boženy Němcové (3rd place).
Department of Chemistry hosted also regional round of the Chemistry Olympiad in March, which is organized for the best young chemists from all districts of Hradec Králové region and the Pardubice region. Pupils have mobilized their experiences gained in school and district round of the competition. After finishing the theoretical and practical parts Tomáš Šprachta, ZŠ Štefánikova Pardubice for Pardubice Region and Adam A. Needle, ZŠ G. Jarkovského, Kostelec n. O. for Hradec Králové region were awarded for the best results.
