Chemistry Olympiad – regional round in category C
Laboratories of Department of Chemistry were ready for the young promising chemists from secondary schools again on Saturday.
On Saturday 18. 4. 2015, Department of Chemistry hosted regional round of Chemistry Olympiad. Selected pupils of secondary schools from Hradec Králové region and the Pardubice region, who were the most successful in the school round, tested their knowledge and skills in theoretical and practical part of the competition. Timotej Mareš of Náchod's Jirásek Grammar School was the most successful contestants of Hradec Kralove Region. Petr Mooz z Gymnázium Jevíčko was the most successful contestants of Pardubice region. Members of the regional commissions of Chemistry Olympiad from the Hradec Králové region and the Pardubice region and also members of the Department of Chemistry namely Mgr. Veronika Machková, Ph.D. from the Section of Didactics of Chemistry and Ing. Karel Musil from the Section of Analytical Chemistry evaluated performances of the contestants. The realization of competition was also ensured by Bc. Magda Herrmannová, Rostislav Radvan and PhD students of Didactics of Chemistry Mgr. Kateřina Chroustová and Mgr. Natalie Karásková.
