Department of Biology cooperates with CABI
Head of the Department of Biology, associate professor Petr Bogusch, Ph.D., establishes partnership with CABI in the research of insects associated with some aquatic plants.
This research is led by Dr. Patrick Häffliger from Switzerland and takes place in several countries of Europe and the United States. In cooperation with associate professor Petr Bogusch deals with the biology of two species of Bagous weevils and Butomus umbellatus L. "It is very enriching to know how terrain research takes place in other parts of the world and at the same time we learn from each other and enhance out methodes", adds associate professor Petr Bogusch.
Future collaboration with students and PhD students is expected.
