New partners in Nicaragua
Dr. Filip Studnička from the Department of Physics has visited the National Autonomous University of Nicaragua in León (UNAN-León) together with other colleagues from University of Hradec Králové.
The delegation visited a number of research institutes at UNAN and discussed common topics of research. The main point of UNAN-León's visit was the negotiation of a mutual cooperation agreement signed by Rectors Kamil Kuca and Octavio Guevara. Cooperation between UHK and UNAN-León lasts for many years, mainly in the form of student exchanges and joint research projects in the field of political science. Now the partnership will be extended to the field of robotics development, household control facilities and the Internet of Things. The aim is to raise awareness of modern computer science trends among students at both universities.
