The Future of Intelligent Systems: IEA/AIE 2024 Conference
From July 10-12, 2024, the Faculty of Science University of Hradec Králové hosted the prestigious 37th Annual IEA/AIE 2024 (International Conference on Industrial, Engineering & Other Applications of Applied Intelligent Systems). This international conference focuses on the application of artificial intelligence and neural networks in various fields, such as science, industry, robotics, biomedicine, bioinformatics, and human-machine interaction.
The conference, organized by Dr. Richard Cimler, head of the Center for Advanced Technologies at the Faculty of Science, UHK, was financially supported by the Hradec Králové Region and held under the patronage of Prof. Kamil Kuča, former Rector and current Vice-Rector of the University of Hradec Králové. The conference chair was Prof. Hamido Fujita from Iwate Prefectural University, with whom the Center for Advanced Technologies at the Faculty of Science, UHK, has a long and successful collaboration.
During the conference, 41 papers were presented, along with two invited lectures that attracted experts from around the world. The presentations provided valuable insights into the latest trends and research in the field of intelligent systems. The conference culminated in the publication of the LNAI (Lecture Notes in Artificial Intelligence) proceedings, which are available here.
IEA/AIE 2024 was organized in collaboration with several prestigious organizations, including ACM Special Interest Group on Artificial Intelligence (ACM SIGAI), Catalan Association for Artificial Intelligence (ACIA), China Computer Federation (CCF), International Society of Applied Intelligence (ISAI), Italian Association for Artificial Intelligence (AIxIA), Iwate Prefectural University, Japanese Society for Artificial Intelligence (JSAI), Society for the Study of Artificial Intelligence and the Simulation of Behavior (AISB), Spanish Society for Artificial Intelligence (AEPIA), Taiwanese Association for Consumer Electronics (TACE), Texas State University, USA, and Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM).
The IEA/AIE 2024 conference once again confirmed its importance as a platform for knowledge sharing and collaboration among experts from around the world. The successful organization and high level of presented papers demonstrate that the University of Hradec Králové is a significant center for research and innovation in the field of intelligent systems.
