Using Biology, Chemistry and Physics to understand and treat Alzheimer's disease
Prof. Frank Gunn-Moore BSc PhD FRSB from the University of St Andrews was a guest lecturer at FoS on 4 April 2017.
A lecture on Using Biology, Chemistry and Physics to understand and treat Alzheimer's disease took place in the new assembly hall of FoS and attracted large audience. Prof. Gunn-Moore introduced the biomolecular and biophysical methods used by his team to monitor the growth and development of human neurons, identify new genes involved in the development of neurodegenerative diseases, laser biophotonic experiments and identification of the new molecular targets for the treatment of early stages of Alzheimer's disease.
For those who could not attend the lecture due to time reasons, we have prepared a recording which you can find here.
