Department of Physics
The Department of Physics provides training of future physics teachers for primary and secondary schools and also educates future physicists in the fields of the Physical Measurement and Modelling and the Physical-Technical Measurements. The department staff is also engaged in basic and applied research as well as in the care and support of young people talented in physics.
The department actively cooperates with foreign institutions, such as the University of Žilina, the Uniwersytet Pedagogiczny w Krakowie, the Polska Akademia Nauk, the Kochi University of Technology in Japan, etc., both in the field of research and in the field of the exchange of students and academics.
The researchers focus on applying the science and research results in practice. We closely cooperate with the application sphere, such as Linet, spol. s.r.o., or Grant detection, s.r.o.
