Meet the Ambassadors Contact person

At its core, the programme aims to cultivate a vibrant global community within the university, promoting intercultural dialogue, friendship, and cooperation. Selected through a rigorous process, International Ambassadors are exceptional individuals who embody the spirit of cultural exchange, leadership, and open-mindedness. They serve as welcoming faces for new international students, offering guidance, support, and insights into life both on and off campus.

The programme's objectives

• Cultural Exchange: International Ambassadors facilitate the exchange of cultures by organizing events, workshops, and seminars that celebrate diversity and educate others about different traditions, languages, and customs.
• Integration Assistance: They play a pivotal role in assisting new international students with their transition to university life, providing practical information, advice, and a sense of belonging.
• Global Networking: Ambassadors connect students with peers from around the world, fostering a network that extends beyond the campus and enriching their international experience.
• Leadership Development: The programme empowers Ambassadors to develop leadership, communication, and organizational skills by planning and executing events, promoting cross-cultural understanding, and engaging in diplomatic activities.
• Promotion of Internationalization: Through their activities, Ambassadors contribute to the internationalization of the university, enhancing its reputation as a hub for global education and cultural diversity.
• Friendship and Support: Ambassadors build lasting friendships and support networks that extend across borders, offering a sense of camaraderie and solidarity to all students.

The International Ambassador Programme creates a positive feedback loop, as participating students not only benefit from the guidance and assistance of the Ambassadors but also learn from one another. This intercultural exchange enriches everyone's academic journey and broadens their horizons, creating a more inclusive and harmonious campus environment.

Andres Eloy Bolivar Sosa

Nazdar! My name's Andrés and I'm originally from Venezuela. I first heard of UHK through friends, and I had the opportunity to visit Hradec Králové and discover UHK in 2022 while on holiday. I found both a beautiful city and an incredible community. After my visit, I started making all the arrangements to pursue my studies here, which is what I currently do! At the Philosophical Faculty, I'm currently studying political science and I also cooperate as a Spanish teacher! UHK has brought me nothing but remarkable experiences, both on personal and academic levels. I have been able to discover plenty of cultures and people altogether with an exceptional academic programme in the very heart of Europe, and I am nothing but excited to see what's to come! I am happy to be part of the International Ambassadors programme, for I believe people should definitely hear that such a house of studies exists and that it is in Czechia!

I describe my stay at this esteemed institution, the University of Hradec Králové (UHK), as having come here specifically from Egypt, a decision I have not regretted and will never regret for the rest of my life. I am not just here as a master's student, I am enjoying every moment and every event at this university in this wonderful city (Hradec Králové) with very friendly, helpful and so nice people. I also love very much my presence in this great university, which is full of wonderful professors and teachers on both the academic and personal levels, and I want to learn more and more from them and from their truly indescribable research and academic experiences, in my field of specialization.

I'm Irene Castellino from Italy, I arrived in the Czech Republic in the middle of October 2023, eager to embark on a two-year journey pursuing my PhD at the Faculty of Science of the University of Hradec Králové. My first impression of the Hradec Králové campus was very good, with new infrastructure and truly new and cutting-edge laboratories. Furthermore, I found a welcoming atmosphere and supportive environment.

I arrived in the Czech Republic in the middle of September of 2021 and returned to Brazil in July of 2022. Those ten months were the best ones of my entire life. UHK allowed me to meet a lot of people from all corners of the world, to learn from different perspectives, and to achieve a lot of my dreams. Dobrý den! Jsem Tanya z Tajwanu. My stay at the UHK is exceptional and unforgettable. I took part at the Faculty of Informatics and Management as an intern teaching Mandarin. Many changes were involved during that specific period of my life, and I learned plenty of things on the way. UHK provided me with a comfortable learning environment where I met people from different backgrounds and took classes in other languages such as German. My teaching experience at the UHK was astonishing to me. I was offered much flexibility with my students, and many of them were very passionate about the course which brought me a sense of achievement by the end of the internship. If you are interested in studying in the Czech Republic, Hradec Králové is definitely one of the best choices you have!

My stay at Hradec Kralove was the most memorable and beautiful time of my life. Learning about different cultures from different countries has been a good experience for me. The decision to stay in Palachova, the school dormitory, was one of the best decisions I've ever made. The information given by the professors with excellent English knowledge contributed a lot to me. UHK has an education system that enables us to understand better the information we learn by both listening and discussing. I am sure that the quality education I received at UHK, one of the best universities in the Czech Republic in the heart of Europe, will significantly benefit me in my next steps. Being the ambassador of UHK in Turkey is an essential source of pride for me. It is a pleasure for me to have a connection between UHK and my country. If anyone asks me “Should I go to UHK?” I tell them that they should go without thinking. Within the framework of the plans we made for this program, we further strengthen the connection between UHK and students.

UHK was, for me, one of the best experiences of my life. It allowed me to know not one but multiple cultures from all over the world. Thanks to this experience I have friends that I will remember forever along with the classes with the excellent teachers and all the activities and places to explore. Hradec Králové was my home for a few months, and I feel like I couldn't have found a better place, that's why I couldn't be happier to be an ambassador of this outstanding university.
