Visa
In some cases, incoming students have to apply for a visa before coming to the Czech Republic.
The application forms are available only at the embassy and cannot be copied. Therefore, you have to visit the embassy and complete the form there with the help of their personnel. The documents you need to submit are as follows:
Visa over 90 days (long-term visa)
- Letter of Acceptance (in English and Czech) is provided by the university, and the original document is sent to the applicant
- Confirmation of guaranteed accommodation in the Czech Republic (in Czech) provided by the university is sent to the applicant
- Confirmation from your bank that you have sufficient financial means to fund your study period in the Czech Republic. Conditions at the website of the Czech Ministry of the Interior HERE
- Passport size photo (size 3,5 x 4,5)
- An Application Form HERE
- Statement of Criminal record in your home country
- Comprehensive Health Insurance from PVZP
Please check all of the terms with the embassy where you apply – the conditions can differ from country to country. Also, follow the conditions at the Czech Ministry of the Interior website HERE
Important
Visa applications must be submitted to the embassy at least three months before the planned arrival.
Please note that submitting all the above-listed documents to the embassy is necessary. The Immigration Police consider the documents in the Czech Republic, and if something is missing or a document is not translated into Czech, the visa is rejected!
