Even though moving to a place where you don’t know anyone might be somewhat frightening and intimidating, don’t worry. Try to go international and don’t just hang out with people from your country; it will enrich the experience and give you a home in several parts of the world.
Andrés Alejandro Pernía López, Venezuela
Erasmus is an awesome experience, but don’t forget to enjoy the little things in life. The memories of simple moments are the most enjoyable things you can get from your time. Hradec Králové is your home for the semester, appreciate it as the best place to
learn, laugh and meet amazing people.
Rafaela Gonçalves, Brazil
Getting to know people from all over the world makes you feel like you are traveling even if you stay put in one place. Moreover, the University supported me in every way possible, even before my arrival. I will not forget and I am very grateful.

Life is made of narratives and stories, and I am delighted to have the UHK and the experience of living in Hradec Králové with me. Even if I choose not to settle in Hradec Králové, I will carry in my heart all the people I have met, all the pleasant evenings at the pubs with my friends, the long political discussions I had till late hours, and all the time I have spent at the university.
Amar Tirić, Bosnia and Herzegovina
Studying at UHK has opened up many opportunities for me, both academically and professionally. Working directly with industry professionals provided me with relevant knowledge and experience to quickly find employment in my field of study.

My decision to study at UHK was one of the turning points in my life, given the numerous experiences, like joining conferences across the world, writing articles, and being a part of university projects. During my studies, I improved my computer and writing skills and English language and brought a lot of useful cognition and culture to my academic life by meeting new scientists.

Life in Hradec Králové was a pleasure, and I remember that during my doctoral studies, I met great people. I recommend everyone who chooses to have a good education while being happy where the human (student) is put first to select the University of Hradec Králové.

I will forever cherish the time spent at UHK and the memories I've made in the Czech Republic. The most valuable part of my studies is all the different people I've met and had an opportunity to learn from. I loved that the UHK culture focused not only on providing students with relevant knowledge but also on building the university's identity around friendship, humanity, and unity.
Santiago Maria Nava Guppy, Argentina
From the very first day in Hradec, when I met Czech and International students, I knew that I was not alone and that my stay there would be full of great things, and, for sure, I was not mistaken. In Hradec Králové, from the first week, I felt at home. The reasons for that vary greatly – from the amazing student community in UHK to the beauty of the city and the many things one can do and visit there. Academically speaking, I have learned a lot, not only by sharing with great professors but also because we were encouraged to participate in classes giving place to very enriching discussions between students from different places and cultures. All in all my experience in Hradec Králové was superb and I know for sure that if I were given the choice, I would choose over and over to come and study there.
Clara Vidigal Dolabella, Brazil
My exchange experience at UHK was simply amazing because I had the opportunity to meet new people and new places, learn from different cultures, try new food, and immerse myself in a totally multicultural and challenging environment. I made friends from all over the world, I went to completely breathtaking sights (inside and outside of the Czech Republic), I had self-discovery moments, I went to the craziest parties – and all that was possible because of the support we received from ESN and UHK. Thank you so much for making this dream come true.

My time in the Czech Republic was the best time for me and a turning point in my life. I experienced a lot of things I had never experienced in my own country, and it helped me a lot in my future decisions. Also, you can meet different friends and experience different cultures. All of these things made me grow. I will never forget my experience in Hradec Králové and Czech Republic.

My UHK adventure was more than just learning; it was a magical journey of personal growth, cultural wonders, and creating lifelong friendships. Every day, with its numerous student events and activities, was a chance for new adventures and unforgettable memories. My Erasmus experience in Hradec was definitely worth it and the University is indeed worth the hype. The different cultural assimilation from the locals and the international community at large was really fascinating. Extracurricular activities organized by the university and ESN kept me going anytime I needed to have my spirit lifted. Above all the fun, it goes without saying that the education quality superseded my expectations, the academic staff are very professional and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure your academic needs are met. The administrative staff were also super helpful in times of distress. I would definitely not mind visiting the University of Hradec Kralove again if I get a chance.
