About Us
Become a member of our Department not only as a student of one of our study programmes focused on bioorganic chemistry and toxicology or education but also as a member of our scientific research teams in areas with an international scope.
Courses of Studies
Students can choose among modern study programmes focused on bioorganic chemistry, toxicology and chemistry education offered as a three-year Bachelor´s degree study programme and also a two-year follow-up Master´s degree study programme. After graduating they will find employment not only in chemical laboratories in all areas of the state and business sphere including scientific research institutions, healthcare and food but also in the production, processing, sale and disposal of chemical compounds and, of course, as chemistry teachers at primary and secondary schools. Communication in English, which is nowadays necessary, is obvious. During your studies you can take the opportunity to travel and study abroad within the Erasmus+ programme not only in Europe but also in more exotic places as South Korea, China, Brazil and many others.
Science and Research
During its short existence, our Department has already found its place in the field of the international research. It is the principal researcher or co-researcher of many national and international projects in which it cooperates with other important workplaces not only in the Region of Hradec Králové in the Czech Republic but also worldwide.
Popularization of Science
The public can meet us at regular events including the popular Devil's Experiments, The Scientists' Night and Open Day.
