Before arrival
Registration
Please make a sure that you have been registered in our system called STAG. After filling in Application form.

Visa and Letter of Accommodation
If you require a visa document, please select this option in application form, and the documents will be sent to your home university.
Please note: Summer school is only providing visa letters, the rest of the visa procedure must be done by each participant himself.
Health Insurance
All international students must have a health insurance during their stay in the Czech Republic.
Students from EU countries need a Health Insurance Card and its photocopies.
We highly recommend to take advantage of VZP insurance company, where you can create the insurance online for your stay made to measure.
Arrival
Transportation
Students are arranging their own transport to the Summer School.
How to get to Hradec Králové
Hradec Králové is approximately 130 km from Prague.
There are different ways how to get to Hradec Králové depending on your mean of transport.

Accommodation
Accommodation is free of charge for all participants of Summer School.
All the participants will stay in the Palachova Halls of Residence (Palachovy koleje in Czech) located at Palachova Street 1129 in Hradec Králové.
Facilities: Shared kitchen with basic equipment (kettle, microwave)
Please note: School canteen is closed during the summer.
A quilt and a pillow, including bed linen will be provided but no towel.
You can use washing machines and dryers for a small fee (in CZK).

Accommodation Summer School 2024
Detailed program
Detailed Summer School program will be specified soon.
Meanwhile you can check preliminary program. Courses will be taught in English.
Scientific sessions will be held Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. Summer School will organize guided trips on Wednesdays. Friday to Sunday is free time, you can spend as you wish.
Practical information
Summer School of Applied Biology and Toxicology: We kindly ask every student to bring his/her own lab coat and shoes.
Accomodation is paid for by Summer School, the rest of expense (travel, meals, free time etc.) must be covered by participants.
English Language Requirements
Evidence of language proficiency is not required, but you have to be sure to understand the lecturers.
Weather
The summer weather in the Czech Republic can be hardly predictable in advance. The current weather conditions you can find for example here.
See the forecast before packing, but be prepared for unpredictable :)
