Grant Agency of the Czech Republic
The Grant Agency of the Czech Republic (GACR) was established by Act No. 300/1992 Coll., on state support of research and development, in 1992 as an independent institution supporting basic scientific research in the Czech Republic.
The task of the GACR is to annually award grants to the best basic research projects in all fields of science based on a public tender in research and development. Another task of the Agency is also to check the progress of solution and fulfilment of project objectives for each past year and to evaluate the achieved results of the projects after their completion.
