About Us
The Centre for Information Technologies (CIT) is a centralized department within the responsibility of the Vice-Rector for Internal Affairs. This department was established in 2014 by the unification of individual faculty and rectorate IT departments. The priority of the department is to maintain the continuity, quality, and scope of services provided by IT departments within each faculty of the university until 2013, to speed up the processing and recording of individual requirements, to reduce operational ICT costs.
CIT Internal Structure
The CIT university-wide department consists of four sections, which are to cooperate with each other and provide ICT services across UHK.
- Operation of computer technology and software according to user needs,
- Support for information technologies users,
- User support with the operation of the UHK fixed and wireless networking,
- Providing user support for working with UHK information systems,
- Counselling - assistance in training users, solving technical problems,
- Preparation, coordination and elaboration of technical specifications for tenders,
- Management of mobile phones and of the mobile phones benefit program for employees,
- Technical arrangement of sound engineering and projection technologies for UHK educational, professional and social events within regular working days,
- Records and administration of copyrighted works in the UHK records,
- Prophylaxis of the classroom multimedia equipment.

Catalogue of the primary applications and services provided
The core areas of the activity are the management of information, communication and multimedia technologies across the university. According to the needs of the university management, the CIT department prepares studies of information technology development at the UHK. It also creates and participates in the university development projects and participates in other projects outside UHK.

Cloud and virtualization services | Creating project servers, managing servers for virtual desktop management, support of the connection to the Office 365 services, Cesnet OwnCloud. |
Licensing services | Administration of the licence servers and administration of the licence agreements (MS EES, IBM Statistica, SolidWorks, PowerDesigner, Autodesk). |
