The aim of the study field is to educate graduates focused on prehistoric and medieval archaeology on the basis of theoretical and practical knowledge, corresponding to the current level of development of the scientific field. The study will be oriented on the prehistoric and medieval archaeology of the Czech lands (with the necessary overlaps to Central Europe), mainly from the point of view of heuristic. This teaching is concentrated in compulsory subjects and complemented by a wide range of other complementary subjects. The Student acquires basic knowledge and skills of managerial, technical, informatics, science, historical and understanding of their interactions within the framework of archaeology as a professional activity (doctrinal), necessary knowledge of theory and methods Preparation and realization of archaeological research and basic processing of its results. The study includes the acquisition of theoretical concepts of the field, the archaeological classification system and its filling (material culture of prehistoric and medieval times) within the Central European. An applicant for the studies of archaeology must meet the conditions for admission.
