Multiplier Events
Round Table - (Dis)advantages of teaching the humanities and social sciences

The Round Table in Poznań served to promote the project among specialists and provide valuable feedback for the next phase. The event was based on completely new data obtained by analyzing the psychosocial aspects of higher education in social sciences and humanities (Analysis of Psychosocial Aspects). The round table was organized as a one-day event, consisting of experts from all participating institutions and other specialists, and was also open to virtual participants. We had the participation of management members from all participating universities and possibly other managers from additional institutions. The aim of the round table was to share the newly acquired knowledge, discuss it among experts and higher education managers, and refine it together for further use in the project. All experts in SSH education and the psychosocial aspects of the field were welcomed.
Workshop on Intercultural Skills

Date: September 12-13, 2023
The workshop supported the education of higher education teachers and equipped them with appropriate mentoring knowledge and skills for the development of innovative curricula and materials for further education and continuous professional development. The event was based on preliminary results of the intercultural dimension analysis and addressed topical issues such as intercultural skills, internationalization at home, internationalization of the curriculum, minorities, gender, and national identities in higher education of SSH. The event was open to all higher education teachers of SSH aiming to develop their pedagogical knowledge and skills in accordance with the changing world of the 21st century. The active participants in the workshop were expected to enable broader brainstorming activities from the involved academic community across all related disciplines in university education, history, sociology, and social sciences.
International Conference & Workshop

The international conference and workshop were held in the last year of the project implementation and served as a preparatory phase for finalizing the main research project results and as the closing ceremony of the project. Participants were invited to engage in lectures, seminars, and parallel events – the international conference (providing a professional platform for international academic discussion on the topic) and the workshop (focused on jointly discovering the best practices of involved attendees). The event took place in Hradec Králové and was organized as a three-day event with broad participation from experts specializing in the theory of university education, “ordinary” higher education teachers willing to deepen their pedagogical skills, and other relevant stakeholders. The event was based on the preliminary form of project results 03 and 04 and addressed general approaches and principles of teaching SSH at universities, thus providing valuable feedback for the finalization of the above results (the handbook and e-learning materials) from external participants. The event was open to all higher education teachers whose goal was to develop their pedagogical knowledge and skills in the changing world of the 21st century.
Learning Teaching Training Activities
One-Week Joint Staff Training Event Poznań

This event brought together academics from all partner institutions to explore preliminary findings on the psychosocial aspects of education, based on research led by AMU experts. Through engaging lectures and workshops, participants gained insights into sociological survey methods and their practical applications, presented in an accessible way for professionals from various SSH disciplines, including philosophy, history, and psychology.
The activity encouraged knowledge sharing between institutions, with UHK and UKF experts contributing their expertise to support Polish colleagues in completing project tasks. This collaboration emphasized international mentorship and practical outcomes, equipping participants with tools to enhance teaching practices and address the evolving needs of students and the global job market.

This event centered on the interactive presentation of the project’s handbook and e-learning materials, equipping participants with tools for ongoing use in their teaching. Hosted by UHK, it brought together academics and PhD students from partner institutions, guided by mentors from all involved universities who shared their unique expertise.
Workshops and activities focused on enhancing the quality of social sciences and humanities teaching in response to current challenges, emphasizing multiperspectivity. Participants developed skills in student-centered teaching, self-evaluation, collaboration, and motivation while learning to connect didactic theory with practice. Networking activities and an introduction to UHK’s culture, region, and higher education system enriched the experience. Feedback from this LTTA helped finalize the project’s e-learning materials.
