The project was built around a key objective shared by both the EU and national ministries: to enhance and modernize tertiary education by focusing on the competences that are crucial for life and practice in the 21st century. To achieve this, the project focused on two main results: an international handbook and e-learning materials designed for university teachers in the Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH). These resources were grounded in comprehensive analyses and reflected the understanding that modern education must equip students with competences that foster active citizenship, as well as prepare them for professional and personal success. In addition, the project emphasized the importance of reducing inequality and promoting equal access to education, ensuring that all students had the opportunity to benefit from the knowledge and skills needed in today’s world.
